Bruny Island Cruises and Tasair have teamed up to bring you an unforgettable experience.
Your flight departs Hobart International Airport at 9:15am and flies south over South Arm and Opossum Bay. Get your camera ready as you fly over the Iron Pot lighthouse, significant as the point the Sydney To Hobart yachts turn to make their final sprint to the finish line.
You then track along the east coast of Bruny and over the 'The Neck', which separates the north part of Bruny Island from the south. You continue heading south until the flight rounds the southern most part of the island with its stunning cliffs and the lush green textures of South Bruny National Park. At Cape Bruny Lighthouse you then make a northerly turn and head up the Channel to land on Bruny Island. Upon landing, you will meet the Bruny Island Cruises bus for the short journey to our Adventure Bay booking office and café for morning tea.
At 11am you will depart for a three hour eco-cruise exploring the Bruny Island coastline. On our cruise you will explore the stunning coastline of the island that is home to spectacular wildlife including Australian fur seals, dolphins, whales and a variety of birdlife. Following the cruise, you will have an hour and a half to enjoy your lunch and surroundings before being taken back to your aircraft.
The return flight tracks along the D'Entrecastreaux Channel where brilliant blue waters separate the white, sandy beaches of Bruny Island and the Tasmanian mainland. Make sure you get your camera ready again as the flight passes Hobart City on your way back to Hobart Airport for a 5pm arrival.
The package costs $420 per person (min 2) and operates all year round, except Christmas Day.
