Located at the southern tip of Bruny Island, the Cape Bruny Lighthouse is the second-oldest
standing lighthouse in Australia. It was originally built from lical stone and was first lit in 1838.
It was decommissioned in 1996, replaced by a solar-powered tower.
The light station is open for
inspection daily 9.30am to 4.30pm in summer and 9.30am to 4.00pm in winter.
